As an Administrative Assistant at Kennesaw State University, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our offices and departments. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support, managing office supplies, and maintaining accurate records and files. Job Summary
This is a non-supervisory position responsible for performing various administrative duties in support of the assigned department, division, unit, and/or location. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, be able to multitask, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform standard administrative duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
- Provide administrative support to faculty, staff, and guests visiting the assigned department, division, unit, and/or location.
- Prepare and proofread documents, reports, and other communications as requested.
- Assist with coordinating and scheduling departmental meetings and events.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing mail, including domestic and international shipping needs.
- Maintain office equipment, stationery, and supply needs, and order items as necessary.
- Assist with records management, including filing, correspondence, and tracking and archiving files.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
- One year of related administrative experience, preferably in an academic setting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
