Job Overview

As a Facility Maintenance Specialist, your primary duty will be to ensure the optimal condition and operational efficiency of our facility. This role involves performing diagnostic evaluations, organizing, and executing repairs and maintenance on all machinery and equipment within the plant. The position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to navigate around heavy machinery, including activities such as bending, climbing, crawling, and frequently lifting and transporting items weighing up to 40 pounds. If you possess a diverse skill set in electrical, carpentry, and plumbing, this role may be an excellent match for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on conveyors, HVAC systems, roofing, and other essential components of the facility.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations, organize, and execute repairs and maintenance on all plant machinery.
  • Carry out tasks related to the upkeep of buildings and surrounding areas.
  • Utilize skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and mechanical tasks for minor repairs.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance of pumps and motors.
  • Interpret manuals to assist in repair processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
  • Develop preventive maintenance protocols, document completed work orders, and undertake additional assignments to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient facility.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance-related field.
  • Successful completion of physical, drug testing, and background checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or license in boiler operation, welding, or electrical work.
  • Associate Degree from a two-year college or technical school in a related discipline.
