Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at OSF HealthCare. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform diagnostic sonographic examinations, utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data.
The ideal candidate will have a professional level of knowledge of ultrasound techniques and procedures, acquired through completion of 2 years training in Radiology Technology or equivalent, plus an additional year training in Ultrasonography.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing patient intakes through collection of medical history
- Answering patient questions regarding the imaging procedure
- Following specific instructions from providers on what areas to image
- Collaborating with providers on the results of imaging tests
Preferred qualifications include up to 12 months of prior related clinical experience, allowing for independent performance of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, equipment operation, and patient care techniques.
