Job Title: Manufacturing Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Astemo Indiana, Inc. in Greenfield, Indiana. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing control systems that drive efficiency and productivity in our factory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement control systems for manufacturing equipment, including PLC programming and robot control.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using standardized root cause analysis techniques.
  • Support manufacturing plant VA/VE (Value Add/Value Engineering) initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and direction to other associates and train them on new processes and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for control systems and equipment.
Requirements:
  • 4-year college degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience and education.
  • Knowledge of control systems, mechanics, pneumatics, and factory floor equipment programming.
  • 3 years of related work experience with high-volume, precision assembly processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Expert PLC programmer, Robots (Fanuc, Motoman, Yamaha, and Mitsubishi), Weber screwdriver, Nordson Spray System, Keyence Vision, LabVIEW, and Visual Basic programming.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and productivity. The position may require up to 20% travel.
