About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our global team at Koch Industries. As a key member of our Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and auditing technical project work for critical network and platform security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and provide technical assistance to the Global Network Delivery team while promoting best practices and standards.
  • Scoping/Design and plan enterprise-level projects.
  • Experiment and research new technologies, working closely with various vendors to understand technologies and roadmaps.
  • Work directly with customers to understand requirements and provide high-quality experience.
  • Responsible for end-to-end quality delivery of assigned complex network projects, ensuring adherence to Network/Network Security engineering standards and the subsequent handover to Operations team.
  • Interface with customers to assist in resolving customer issues, communicate resolution status, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Identify process gaps or areas for improvement in delivery efficiencies and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Responsible to ensure project solutions are in line with approved standards and meet the required outcome from stakeholders.
  • Ensure assigned network project tasks are delivered on time, on budget, against agreed scope.
  • Deliver high-quality solutions on both connectivity requirements.
  • Identify EOL/EOS network devices and propose appropriate replacement devices by preparing a Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Perform quality checks and drive initiatives to improve quality/accuracy of design.
  • Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team, delivering networking solutions in an expedient manner.
  • Must be willing to participate in on-call support.
  • Ability to provide support during weekends if needed for project implementations.
Requirements
  • Expert-level understanding in Wireless, LAN, and WAN.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise networks or management of network & network security devices like firewalls, proxies, and IPS devices, ISE.
  • Experience in scoping, design, and practical experience in end-to-end management and execution of network project infrastructure deployment.
  • Basic understanding of Meraki and SDWAN technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge on creating BOM, HLD, LLD.
  • Expert knowledge in managing a multi-vendor WAN, multi-protocol routing.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience on Cisco IOS and to include routing (OSPF), switching, and QoS experience.
  • Proven experience in working on large-scale projects.
  • Security knowledge including Palo Alto or Fortinet Knowledge.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • One or more industry certifications such as: CCNA, CCIP, CCNP, Network+, Security+, GSEC, PCNSE, etc.
  • Cisco ISE & SDWAN knowledge.
  • Experience with Process Control Networks (PCN), or managing security for PCNs-IOT.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
