Position Overview:
As a Marine Assembly Specialist at Rolls-Royce, you will play a crucial role in executing various manufacturing tasks within designated areas. Your responsibilities will include the meticulous cleaning and disassembly of controllable pitch propeller (CPP) hubs and their internal components for thorough inspection and final assembly.

Joining our team as a Marine Assembly Specialist provides you with the unique opportunity to assemble both new and refurbished propeller hubs and waterjet propulsion impellers. You will also assist in the packaging of completed assemblies for shipment and support propeller blade installation and removal as necessary for balance and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Adhere to Technical Instructions, Manufacturing Instructions, and Quality Specifications to consistently perform operations in your assigned area.
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings to execute necessary rework.
  • Utilize precision tools and equipment to ensure accurate dimensions without error.
  • Employ advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve complex operational or process issues.
  • Communicate basic to intermediate issues to engineers and implement solutions as directed.
  • Handle engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds and work in environments with exposure to dust and chemicals.

Work Schedule:
Your commitment will involve working hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime as required.

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A mechanical skill set or aptitude, with prior experience in a mechanical role.
  • The ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments (e.g., Micrometers, Indicators).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have experience operating forklifts, cranes, and other lifting devices.
