CNC Programmer Job Description

NESCO Inc is seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and setting up Swiss CNC Machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming and Setup: Program and set up Swiss CNC Machines to meet production requirements.
  • Quality Control: Perform first piece inspection and process inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Production Management: Run production and instruct lesser skilled machinists to ensure efficient production.
  • Documentation: Create and follow production set up sheets and documents.
  • Maintenance: Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Custom Fixturing: Create custom fixturing and tooling when needed.
  • Machine Monitoring: Monitor and maintain multiple Citizen CNC machines and employees in production.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of production, scrap, and non-conformance.
  • Quality Checks: Perform quality checks using a microscope, vision system, and hand inspection tools. CMM experience is a plus.
  • Code Understanding: Understand G&M codes.
  • Math Skills: Possess good math skills.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively (written and spoken) in English.
  • Teamwork: Team player with supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Software Skills: Experience in SolidWorks is a plus.
