Job Summary:

The Commercial Painting Specialist role within Real Estate Operations at Citizens will be responsible for painting the interior and exterior of buildings, structures, and other surfaces. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Painting interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, structures, and other items
  • Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, etc.
  • Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc.
  • Filling cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g., plaster)
  • Mixing paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
  • Applying varnish and other finishes
  • Completing work orders correctly with minimal call backs
  • Communicating in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customers
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies, tools, and materials
  • Responsibility for maintaining bank vehicle

Requirements:

  • 3 or more years of commercial painting experience
  • Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix, and apply
  • Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
  • Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.)
  • Conscientious with great attention to detail
  • Competent use of MS Office applications to include MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload

Education, Certifications, and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License required

Hours and Work Schedule:

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday & voluntary OT when available
