Job Summary

The Senior Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) test engineer will play a crucial role in testing Drive Unit (DU) embedded software. This position involves testing DU embedded software under various operating environments, fault conditions, and stress scenarios to improve software performance and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Develop HIL test cases for motor controls and software features.
  • Expand test coverage to fulfill software functional safety-related requirements.
  • Perform regression tests, report bugs, provide debugging support, and development validation testing for the team.
  • Upgrade and maintain the HIL test stations and other related lab equipment.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing and development with a focus on the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in C and Python.
  • An understanding of electrical circuit concepts and basic schematics.
  • Familiarity with testing and quality assurance processes, along with experience in using requirement and issue tracking management tools.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with various teams, including software developers, test and integration engineers, and system architects.
Compensation and Benefits

Rivian offers a competitive salary range of $135,100 to $168,900 for Northern California-based applicants, with actual compensation determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. We also provide robust medical/Rx, dental, and vision insurance packages for full-time employees and their families.
