Job Summary

The Board Certified Internal Medicine Consultant will play a crucial role in providing written and phone consultations to SVP veterinarians, covering diagnostic testing and treatment options for complex cases. This is a remote position that requires a collaborative and service-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide written and phone consultations to SVP veterinarians on complex cases
  • Develop and deliver RACE-approved continuing education content for general practitioners
  • Refer patients to other specialists and relevant patient care components as needed
  • Document patient recommendations, diagnosis, treatment, and other relevant information within the consult system
  • Provide excellent bedside manner and communication skills remotely
Requirements
  • Currently licensed in at least one U.S. state
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Extensive clinical experience working as a clinician in an Internal Medicine Service or Academic Institution
  • Federal DEA Certification; Medical Specialty License or Certification
  • Ability to navigate technology, EMR, and consult software
