Role of Culinary Preparation Specialist

Culinary Preparation Specialists are tasked with the preparation and production of food items, garnishes, and condiments essential for service.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items and ingredients as per established recipes and/or specific requests
  • Availability to work varied hours, including weekends
  • Safely and efficiently utilize all necessary kitchen tools and equipment
  • Effectively communicate to perform and adhere to job requirements
  • Manage multiple tasks calmly in a high-pressure environment
  • Work in confined and bustling spaces with varying noise and temperature levels
  • Lift and move items up to 50 pounds as required
  • Stand and walk for the duration of the shift while navigating the restaurant safely

Key Duties

  • Adhere to portion control and par level standards
  • Maintain food safety and quality protocols
  • Accurately read and interpret thermometer readings
  • Communicate any food delays or issues to the Coordinator
  • Keep precise records of all kitchen outputs
  • Understand and implement food allergy procedures and special requests
  • Follow all safety and sanitation regulations
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Foster a collaborative team environment
  • Additional duties as assigned
