Nurse Residency Program: Labor and Delivery Track

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated nursing professionals to join our Labor and Delivery Nurse Residency Program. This 26-week program is designed to provide a smooth transition into the L&D RN role for qualified candidates.
Program OverviewThe Labor & Delivery Nurse Residency Program is accredited with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs. The program integrates educational components with preceptor-led clinical experiences in 4 areas of the Labor & Delivery unit: Labor & Delivery, Peri Op, OB High Risk, and Antenatal.
Requirements- Graduating from an accredited nursing school before June 2025 (BSN preferred)
- BLS required
- Less than 12 months experience from the program's start date
- Delaware or Compact State licensure as a Registered Nurse
Upon successful program completion, participants will be hired as a staff nurse within the Labor and Delivery unit at ChristianaCare. A commitment agreement to work at ChristianaCare will be signed, requiring completion of two years within the organization and 15 months of those two years on the unit of hire. Individuals unable to fulfill this commitment will be charged $10,000.
