Founded in 1984 as American Academy of Gymnastics, American Kids Sports Center (AKSC) has evolved into a unique and successful kids sports center in California. Under the direction of owners Mike & Sheri Williams, AKSC has established an organization that focuses on helping children develop strong values, set worthy goals, and acquire the skills needed to achieve those goals through sport training.

We provide licensed preschool instruction to our community, building confidence and developing safety skills in a student-centered, active-learning environment. Our team is committed to providing activity-based teaching techniques to the children in our community, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed.   • As a preschool instructor, you'll be responsible for the safety of each class and teaching lessons and skills to students using our curriculum. You'll work to build confidence within your students, encouraging each student to reach their full potential. You'll regularly communicate with students, parents, and fellow staff members, and be open to feedback and continuous learning. You'll report to the Preschool Director during shifts and provide support throughout the preschool as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of everyone in the preschool.
  • Love and respect students while teaching them.
  • Be a team player who is consistently dependable and reliable.
  • Complete required training and be a continual learner.
  • Follow our curriculum with a focus on the needs, abilities, and comfort of each student.
  • Smile and have fun during your entire shift.
Qualifications
  • Caring and compassion for children.
  • A minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Development courses, with a transcript showing your grades.
  • 12 months of experience in a licensed child care facility.
  • Fingerprint and background check clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and boisterous atmosphere for periods of up to 5-6 hours.
  • Strong communication skills with children and adults.
  • Great attitude and willingness to be coached.
  • Ability to focus in a shared workspace environment.
  • Ability to commit to at least 1 full school year of employment.
