Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our 3rd shift crew, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately process customer transactions, manage cash refunds and exchanges, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Shift Change Procedures: Participate in shift change procedures, including counting money and ensuring that all tasks are completed before the end of the shift.
  • Specialty Product Sales: Process specialty products, including money orders, credit card purchases, checks, and lottery sales and redemptions.
  • Age Restriction Enforcement: Enforce age restrictions on restricted sales, checking identifications as necessary.
  • Stock Management: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, restocking shelves and ensuring that all merchandise is properly displayed.
  • Sanitation and Cleaning: Maintain a clean and sanitary store environment, following proper cleaning procedures and protocols.
  • Trash Removal: Regularly clean and empty trash containers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Vendor Deliveries: Check in vendor deliveries, ensuring that all merchandise is properly received and stored.
  • Bad Merchandise Resolution: Complete the bad merchandise form, contributing to the overall operational excellence of the store.
  • Adaptable and Flexible: Be willing to take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities, adapting to the changing needs of the store.

Qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older (21 in certain states).
  • Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays, embracing the full rhythm of retail.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Math Proficiency: Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
  • Personable and Positive: Friendly demeanor and ability to make people feel welcome.

  • Reliable and Responsible: Punctual, trustworthy, and take pride in your work.
