Aquatech International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team in Sabine Pass, LA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment plant, maintaining high-quality water production, and adhering to strict safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor Plant Operations: Continuously monitor the plant's performance, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact water quality or production.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular water quality checks, ensuring that all water produced meets or exceeds regulatory standards.
- Chemical Handling: Safely handle and store chemicals, adhering to strict protocols and regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, including valves, pumps, and instruments.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest water treatment technologies and best practices.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants, with a strong understanding of chemical processes and water chemistry.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., environmental science, chemistry, engineering) preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: TWIC card and any other relevant certifications or licenses.
