Job Summary

The Department of Public Health Sciences at The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer to join our team. As an Instructional Designer, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality online and hybrid courses for our education programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and develop engaging course content
  • Design and implement effective learning activities and assessments to enhance learner engagement and retention
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to inform instructional design decisions
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Provide guidance and direction to lower-level instructional designers as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in instructional design or a related field
  • Proficiency in Canvas and Blackboard learning management systems
  • Proficiency in Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, JavaScript, Photoshop, and Keynote
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in instructional design or a related field
