Your compensation package encompasses various components such as stops, unscheduled layovers, delays, dispatch, drop and hook, vacation, and more. Additionally, we provide outstanding benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plans with company contributions, vacation days, and much more.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Class "A" commercial driver's license is required.
- A minimum of 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or over 2,500 accident-free hours is necessary.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is expected.
- Ability to lift weights ranging from 15 to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Capacity to sit for prolonged periods, up to five hours daily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to work up to 14 hours a day and drive a tractor-trailer for extended periods, up to 11 hours daily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Current drivers at Frito-Lay have shared insights on the typical responsibilities you can expect:
- Safely operate a tractor/trailer (commonly an automatic Volvo, International, or Freightliner; diesel/natural gas) to transport products to and from designated locations in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- This role is physically demanding. Loading and unloading trailers may involve manual handling, palletized loading/unloading, or the use of a two-wheeler. Lifting items overhead is also required.
- Transport snacks and related products to and from large grocery retailers, Frito-Lay manufacturing sites, rural storage facilities, and other distribution centers.
- Obtain signatures for receipts, collect returns, complete logs and paperwork associated with deliveries, and review invoices and manifests.
- Utilize electronic logging devices such as tablets or onboard computers.
- Maintain regular communication with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch, leading to interactions throughout the day or night.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck.
- Work hours may extend to legal limits set by the FMCSA and may require overnight trips as well as weekend and holiday shifts.
- Routes operate 24/7, with DOT hours varying slightly by location.

- Self-Driven: Our drivers are known for their strong work ethic, consistently showing up and completing tasks.
- Detail-Oriented: A keen eye is crucial for reviewing weight limits on manifests, ensuring order accuracy, and utilizing visual aids.
