Drywall Taper Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at H.J. Martin & Son Inc. as a Construction Specialist. As a key member of our Walls and Ceilings department, you will be responsible for preparing drywall for finishing and sealing joints between plasterboard or wallboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare drywall for finishing, ensuring a smooth and even surface
• Seal joints between plasterboard or wallboards, meeting high standards of quality and safety
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, promoting a safe and productive work environment
• Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to company standards
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights, with a strong emphasis on safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask
• Forklift experience preferred, but not required
• Valid state driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the region
• Pass a background and pre-employment drug test, ensuring a safe and reliable workforce
