Orthopaedic Casting Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Casting Technician to join our team at the Orthopaedic Institute of North Mississippi. In this role, you will play a crucial part in patient care and support.

• Apply orthopedic devices: You will be responsible for applying splints, casts, and wraps to patients as needed.
• Patient Education: Distribute and instruct patients on the proper use of orthopedic appliances such as braces and boots.
• Patient Assistance: Aid patients in entering and exiting their vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and other staff members to provide optimal patient care.
• Inventory Management: Maintain and organize supply shelves and closets to ensure all necessary materials are readily available.
• Safety Compliance: Dispose of contaminated materials in accordance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe environment.
• Support Across Departments: Provide lifting assistance throughout various areas of the clinic, including x-ray and physical therapy.
• Confidentiality: Uphold patient confidentiality at all times, ensuring privacy and trust.
