Job Title: Interventional Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Technologist to join our team at West Tennessee Healthcare. As an Interventional Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing quality patient care and technical support in the performance of vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine or emergent vascular procedures, adhering to "Quality Plus" standards and departmental quality guidelines.
  • Scrubs and assists physicians in sterile vascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepares the room and patient for examination, including sterile site prep and site marking when necessary.
  • Circulates on all vascular procedures, monitoring patient vital signs and documenting pertinent information.
  • Practices and maintains established safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Monitors patient information in various hospital or department systems, recording and calculating hemodynamic data as needed.
  • Assures complete and accurate documentation, including patient records and imaging data.
  • Schedules patients for examination and notifies x-ray attendants for patient transportation, as required.
  • Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department and Vascular Interventional Unit.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Radiologic Technology, or Cardiovascular Technology, or a diploma from a certificate program.
  • Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and possession of the appropriate state license.
  • BCLS & ACLS certification required, with ACLS certification to be completed within 6 months of hire date.
  • One year (1) experience in Vascular Intervention or Cath Lab, preferred.
