Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Bio-Techne. As a Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-complexity CLIA testing in day-to-day operations of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-complexity testing under the onsite direct supervision of a qualified Supervisor.
  • Follow the laboratory's procedure for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintain records of patient test results.
  • Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
  • Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problems or immediately notify the General Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, Clinical Consultant, or Laboratory Director.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Have at least one year of relevant full-time laboratory experience and/or training subsequent to graduation in the specialty or subspecialty in which the individual performs tests.
  • Be certified or eligible with ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) as an MLS – Medical Laboratory Scientist, MT – Medical Technologist, MLT-Medical Laboratory Technician, MB- Molecular Biology or specialist.
