Senior Formulation Chemist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Formulation Chemist to join our Product Development team at John Paul Mitchell Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for formulating innovative hair color, care, and styling concepts, lines, and reactive products.

• Develop new hair colors, care, and styling formulations, setting new industry standards for quality and innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hair color product development aligns with market demands and company goals.
• Maintain strict compliance with GMP and GLP standards in the lab, championing best practices in every aspect of the formulation process.
• Troubleshoot formula, shade, and raw material issues, finding replacements whenever necessary.
• Work on-site at our Product Innovation Center and new product laboratory, performing all relevant formula-related testing.

• Bachelor's degree in science (i.e. chemistry, cosmetic chemistry, chemical engineering or related science) required.
• 5 years' work experience in professional hair color formulation required.
• 7 years' work experience in professional hair color formulation strongly preferred.
