Key Responsibilities- Clinical Expertise
- Develop and maintain expertise in perioperative nursing practices, including surgical procedures, patient care, and equipment management.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to perioperative staff, including nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists.
- Participate in the development and implementation of perioperative policies and procedures.
- Surgical Specialist
- Assist in the coordination of surgical cases, including scheduling, room assignments, and equipment preparation.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
- Operating Room Leader
- Lead and manage the perioperative team, including nurses, technicians, and other support staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, quality of care, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and implement perioperative initiatives and projects.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing, with a focus on surgical specialties.
- Strong clinical expertise and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- BSN degree or higher.
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR or CPAN).
- Experience with perioperative software and technology.
- Leadership experience in a perioperative setting.
