We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and behavioral health issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advanced vocational nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing health screenings, and collecting specimens for lab work.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Lead and oversee the work of LVNs, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in facility Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality assurance programs.
- Respond to emergency situations and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to healthcare and patient care.
