Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Select Medical. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting healing and recovery in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive evaluations of communication skills and/or swallowing function
  • Develop and implement goal-oriented treatment plans to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide quality patient care
  • Participate in peer review and staff performance appraisals
  • Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from a program satisfying the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association's academic and practicum requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Valid license issued by the State in which you are practicing
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience
  • Experienced with FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Examination of Swallowing)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date
