Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Midwest Vision Partners. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our ophthalmologists and optometrists.

• Interact with patients to gather information and accurately document their medical history, chief complaint, and present illness.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures, such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry, to assist physicians in making informed diagnoses.
• Prepare patients for minor surgery procedures, intraocular injections, and laser treatments, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
• Educate patients on the administration of medications, pre and post-operative instructions, and general eye care information.
• Assist with scribing for physicians and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Utilize effective problem-solving skills to de-escalate dissatisfied patients and provide exceptional customer service.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; electronic medical records experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and drive a motor vehicle.
