Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Ocean Smiles. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Tasks: Greet and schedule patients, handle financial aspects of the office, review treatment plans, take x-rays, prepare and sterilize dental equipment, and maintain inventory of dental instruments and supplies.
  • Patient Care: Serve as a patient advocate, provide chair-side education, comfort anxious patients, communicate with families, and assist with report of services and referrals.
  • Administrative Support: Answer incoming phone calls, make phone calls and appointments, and represent the office in a positive and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Effective management of different staffing levels, current knowledge of dental clinical procedures and protocols, proficient computer skills, and knowledge of computerized practice management systems.
  • Education and Training: Basic range of dental clinical procedures and protocols, infection control procedures, and ability to expose digital radiographs.
  • Personal Qualities: Exceptional communication skills, ability to work with young children, and a positive and professional attitude.
