DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate on designated projects under the guidance of a mentor or supervisor.
- Observe and learn from the activities within the assigned department or unit.
- Support the mentor/supervisor with daily operational tasks.
- Engage actively in safety and environmental initiatives.
- Keep a detailed journal of work and activities.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation to the management team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have completed the second year of college.
- Must be pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
In performing the duties of this role, the employee frequently needs to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. The role may occasionally require stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position involves making general decisions that require sound judgment and performing tasks that necessitate sustained concentration.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment noise level can vary; it may be moderate in an office setting, but some tasks may take place in operational units, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and hearing protection. There may also be exposure to outdoor elements, and the role may involve using stairs and elevators. Occasional travel, including air and auto travel, may be required.
