Audit Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Associate to join our team at CBIZ Accounting Tax and Advisory of New York LLC. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for planning and executing multiple audit assignments across various industries, including Real Estate, Construction, Nonprofit, and Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Gain a solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology implementation procedures.
- Participate in client assignments from beginning to end, identifying and communicating audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
- Pledge to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness, and commitment to understanding their goals and needs.
- Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior associates and interns on MHM audit methodology.
- Public accounting experience working specifically within a Korean Practice desk/division.
- Ability to use both Korean and English language skills in a business environment.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field preferred.
- CPA eligible; desire to obtain certification is required.
- Internship experience in accounting or related field preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, and tax project management skills, including basic knowledge of GAAP, Taxation compliance, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to multi-task, think independently, and problem-solve in a results-driven team-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
- Strong computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet, and audit software.
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $71,000-$75,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
