Research Opportunities at New York Medical College
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Fellow to join our team at New York Medical College. As a Research Fellow, you will be responsible for conducting complex scientific experiments in the fields of bacteriology and immunology.
**Responsibilities:**
* Design and execute experiments to investigate antibiotic resistance and vaccine development for pathogenic streptococci
* Provide scientific input to the design of experimental work and interpretation of data
* Supervise laboratory research assistants and summer students
* Stay up-to-date with new methodologies and gain expertise in new scientific areas as needed
* Adhere to established lab standards for communication, documentation, organization, and teamwork
**Qualifications:**
* Ph.D., M.D., or other doctorate in a scientific or medical discipline
* Proficient in Excel and basic statistical and graphing software
* Six years or more of wet lab bench work
* Ability to work with BSL-2 and ABSL-2 agents, human tissue samples, and mice
**What We Offer:**
* Competitive salary range: $46,400 - $58,000 per year
