Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Bridge Superintendent to join our team at William Charles Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend pre-job meetings and review project scope with the Project Manager and Area Manager
  • Set up job sites prior to project commencement and review union contracts
  • Communicate effectively with IDOT, inspectors, subcontractors, and owners to ensure smooth project execution
  • Ensure all work is completed according to specifications and coordinate subcontractor operations
  • Manage local union relationships and supervise on-site employees
  • Ensure EEO requirements are met and complete all required paperwork
  • Generate a two-week look-ahead schedule and verify utility locates before excavation
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensure equipment checklists are completed, and guarantee required materials and equipment are on site
  • Oversee work compliance with OSHA standards and company policies
Requirements
  • Minimum GED or High School Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Bridge Superintendent or related field
