Responsibilities:
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and guiding on-site nursing staff in their care for young adults and adolescents.

This role requires adherence to the mission and values of Newport Healthcare, as well as compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.


Key Duties:
Serve as the communication link between the nursing team and the Nursing Manager.


Conduct weekly chart audits and promptly address any discrepancies in documentation with the Lead Nurse and Nursing Manager.

Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new nursing staff, as well as in disciplinary actions and corrective measures.

Review medication error reports and internal incident reports concerning medications as required by the Nursing Manager.

Engage in performance evaluations alongside the Nursing Manager.

Assist the Nursing Manager and Lead Nurse in assigning shift-specific tasks to enhance efficiency and accuracy in patient care.

Act as a liaison with the local pharmacy on behalf of the nursing team.

Communicate with admissions personnel regarding any issues that may arise.

Ensure timely documentation in accordance with established standards.

Provide clinical shifts as necessary.

Perform additional duties as required based on regional needs.

Qualifications:
Must possess a current RN license in the state of employment and have a minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.

OR

Must possess a current LVN license in the state of employment and have a minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.

Compensation for this position ranges from $72.28 per hour, depending on licensure, experience, and education.
