About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Engineer Intern to join our team at Ryan Companies US. This is an exciting opportunity for a summer internship, where you will gain hands-on experience in construction industry processes, procedures, and company policies.

The selected candidate will assist the project team in completing designated projects, focusing on learning about budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders. You will also develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the project team in completing designated projects while gaining knowledge of construction industry processes.
  • Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Construction Engineering/Management or a closely-related field.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • At least one summer of construction work experience.
  • A general knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
  • The ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • The ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation

This is an hourly paid position with a rate of $22/hour. The hourly rate may vary based on factors such as location and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
