Role Summary:

As an Autism Support Specialist, you will be integral in providing outstanding ABA therapy services to children facing developmental and behavioral challenges. We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience, as we offer thorough training to all selected individuals, preparing them for certification as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with our dedicated team of professionals to execute behavior intervention strategies crafted by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Deliver individualized ABA therapy sessions to children, customizing methods to align with their unique needs and preferences.
  • Employ evidence-based practices and positive reinforcement to teach essential skills and mitigate challenging behaviors.
  • Accurately document and track client progress to support effective treatment planning.
  • Build a nurturing and supportive relationship with clients and their families to foster a positive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience or RBT certification is not required; comprehensive training will be provided to all successful candidates.
  • A sincere desire to positively influence the lives of children and their families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with the team and families.
  • Dedication to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to engage in physical activities throughout the day, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Mobility: Capable of moving quickly and efficiently to respond to client needs and ensure their safety.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, as some clients may require assistance with mobility or positioning.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in fine motor skills to effectively use specialized tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Physical Endurance: Capacity to maintain focus and provide consistent support during extended work hours or challenging situations.
  • Physical Agility: Ability to move swiftly and react quickly in case of emergency situations or unexpected behaviors.
  • This role may involve sitting on the floor with clients and quickly transitioning to a standing position when necessary, requiring a flexible and agile physical posture to support clients effectively during interactions and activities.
