Role Summary

The ideal candidate for the Project Engineer I role may be a recent graduate or possess up to two years of experience in civil engineering. This entry-level position focuses on projects related to land development for large-scale wind and solar energy initiatives across the nation.

Key Responsibilities

The essential duties of a successful candidate include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizing relevant software and Civil 3D technology to design components of projects.
  • Conducting calculations using engineering principles and software to resolve issues.
  • Researching and preparing specifications for materials, ensuring proper installation and inspection processes.
  • Finalizing design details and creating comprehensive plan sets.
  • Performing research and drafting objective summary reports that contribute to project completion.
  • Assisting in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Carrying out field observations, inspections, and data collection as directed by senior engineering personnel.
  • Engaging with client representatives and collaborating with the internal design team under the guidance of senior staff.
Qualifications

Successful candidates will typically possess:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
