Substance Use Recovery Coach

Are you passionate about helping individuals achieve long-term recovery from substance use disorders? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team at Wood River Health.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with hybrid eligibility. As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will work closely with the Behavioral Health Department to provide support and guidance to individuals in their recovery journey.

Our ideal candidate has lived experience related to substance use and/or mental health treatment, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to promoting behavioral health treatment and reducing stigma.

• Work collaboratively with the Behavioral Health Department to coordinate care for patients with substance use disorders.
• Provide crisis intervention services, recommendations for treatment, and referrals as needed.
• Engage patients and families in their treatment, recovery, and coaching efforts to develop and maintain health & wellness.
• Organize and implement activities inclusive of behavioral health events, speaking engagements, and dissemination of written materials.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and trainings at Wood River Health and in the community as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Lived experience related to substance use and/or mental health treatment
• Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $45,000-$60,000 annually, depending on experience.
