Director of Pharmacy Leadership

Talent One is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our pharmacy department. As Director of Pharmacy, you will be responsible for driving excellence in patient care, fostering a collaborative environment, and overseeing the strategic direction of our pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership & Decision-Making: Provide strong leadership in decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal relations across various levels, including department directors, physicians, staff, visitors, and vendors.
- Operational Oversight: Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards in alignment with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the organization.
- Department Management: Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, IT systems, service level assessments, and complaint management to ensure quality control and performance standards are met.
- Staffing & Development: Plan and oversee staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and ongoing education initiatives.
- Financial Management: Prepare, monitor, and manage departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding and directing both internal and external audits.
- Professional Growth: Foster an environment conducive to professional growth and integrate evidence-based practices into daily operations and clinical protocols.
- Compliance: Upon obtaining NV licensure, act as the Managing Pharmacist, ensuring full compliance with state and federal laws related to pharmacy operations.
- Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy required; Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of pharmacy leadership experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Nevada Pharmacist License required within three months of hire. Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) certification, BLS, and ACLS from the American Heart Association required within six months of hire. FEMA IS-100.C and IS-200.C certifications within three months of hire and Handle with Care training within 30 days.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods; occasional lifting of 20-30 pounds.
- Skills: Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
