Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our nation's veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Conduct basic life support, including CPR and first aid.
  • Document patient information, including vital signs, medications, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a related healthcare field.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a healthcare setting, with frequent exposure to patients with various medical conditions. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality is essential.
