Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Missouri Delta Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, hearing, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Administer a wide range of therapeutic techniques to help patients regain their communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language-Pathology from an ASHA-approved program or equivalent.
  • Missouri license from the Board of Registration for the Healing Arts or eligibility through CFY.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language-Pathology preferred.
  • Completion of CFY and ongoing successful completion of 90-day evaluations, periodic competency assessments, and annual re-evaluations.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to ambulate throughout the hospital, including all floors and between the hospital and ReStart building. Minimal lifting is required. Vision and hearing must be within normal limits, and essential for interacting with patients, physicians, and co-workers.
