- Education:
- Required: BSN or MSN, or enrollment in an RN-BSN or RN-MSN program within one year of hire, with completion within five years if hired after a specified date.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Required: California RN license; BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred: Certification in a specialty area.
- Experience:
- Preferred: Background in specialty care or higher acuity settings, or completion of an internship program.
- Education:
- Core Responsibilities:
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct and compliance policies, addressing any compliance concerns promptly.
- Conducts thorough assessments of patients’ physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health, utilizing age-appropriate methods and documentation standards.
- Implements care plans based on identified needs, employing the Relationship-Based Care Professional Practice Model to guide interactions.
- Incorporates patient education and discharge planning to enhance patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
- Commits to ongoing professional development and clinical competency, attending required training and meetings, and engaging in peer discussions when necessary.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives, integrating performance recommendations into daily practice.
- Serves as a resource for colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment and contributing to the professional development of peers.
- Adheres to divisional and unit-specific guidelines and performs additional duties as assigned.
