Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Monitor Progress and Adjust Plans: Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with Professionals: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the implementation of speech and language goals in the classroom and at home.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for services.
  • Stay Current with Best Practices: Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Illinois State Board of Education Licensure: Illinois State Board of Education licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience Working with School-Aged Children: Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
