Universal Stainless is seeking a skilled Melt Shop Crew Member II to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting operators in creating steel ingots from scratch, preparing raw materials for the melting process, and helping with pouring and molding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist operators in creating steel ingots from scratch
- Prepare raw materials for the melting process
- Help with pouring and molding processes
- Organize breaking down and re-building launders using hand tools, air-powered tools, and overhead cranes
- Move materials via tow motor and/or remove them with overhead cranes
- Perform housekeeping and organizing tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience with remote cranes and forklifts preferred
- Experience in metal working and manufacturing
