Key Responsibilities:

About the Position:
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is tasked with the creation of both internal and external financial documentation and disclosures. This role also involves mentoring Financial Reporting Analysts.

In this position, you will:
Assist in the preparation and evaluation of the Company's SEC submissions, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other relevant filings.

Act as a liaison between GM and GM Financial's SEC Reporting teams.

Prepare or assess financial statement fluctuation analyses.

Coordinate information between International and North American operations.

Collaborate with various functional areas and teams, including Treasury and Investor Relations.

Work with external auditors and the Financial Assurance team during quarterly reviews and year-end audits. Serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to financial statement disclosures.

Conduct research, present findings, and implement new or revised FASB standards and SEC regulations applicable to the Company.

Prepare financial data for unsecured debt issuances.

Participate in and/or lead projects that impact financial reporting.

Prepare and review reports for annual state filings.

Qualifications:
What makes you an ideal candidate?

Familiarity with Oracle accounting software, Cognos, and Workiva (WDesk/WData/Connected Sheets) is preferred.

Understanding of XBRL reporting requirements.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and the preparation of complete financial statements. Capability to manage multiple tasks, including ad hoc projects, while supervising staff.

Education & Experience

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

5-7 years of experience in preparing financial statements and SEC reports in public accounting is preferred.

Licenses

CPA or CPA candidate upon hire is preferred.
