Diagnostic Sleep Technician Position

As a Diagnostic Sleep Technician at Northside Hospital, you will be responsible for conducting sleep disorder tests, analyzing data, and documenting results. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for healthcare to join our team.
About the Job:
In this role, you will work closely with patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the testing process. Your expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, and respiratory therapy will be invaluable in providing high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct sleep disorder tests, including polysomnography.
- Analyze data and document results per policy.
- Apply recording sensors and acclimate patients to CPAP if necessary.
- Perform pre-recording calibration and end recordings per protocol.
- Complete post-study documentation, remove sensors, and clean up as needed.
Essential Requirements:
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations.
- One year of experience in sleep study activity.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
- Certification or registration in Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
