Reservoir Tech Job Description

Infinity Natural Resources LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Reservoir Tech to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our reservoir engineers by providing technical support, data analysis, and contributing to efficient reservoir management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist reservoir engineers in data gathering, analysis, and interpretation from various sources (public data, internal production data).
  • Prepare and maintain reservoir databases and models using industry-standard software (e.g., ComboCurve, ARIES, Access, SQL).
  • Generate reports and presentations to communicate technical findings to engineers and management.
  • Troubleshoot data integrity within reservoir models, help organize and maintain various typecurves, and reserves estimates.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all technical work.
  • Stay up to date on the latest reservoir engineering technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to meet specific deadlines based on department needs and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and communication skills and have the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extremely team-oriented with strong oral and written skills to convey information clearly and persuasively.
  • Results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical role within the oil and gas industry or working knowledge of reservoir engineering principles (permeability, porosity, saturation) is a plus.
  • Must be able to perform light work – exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
  • Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
