Job Summary

Nashville General Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating complex imaging equipment to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate routine radiography equipment, fluoroscopy, portable x-ray machines, and operating room imaging equipment.
  • Perform patient care services relevant to imaging procedures, including IV access starts and injection of contrast.
  • Interact with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.
  • Evaluate radiographic requests against physician's orders and ensure that unsatisfactory radiographs are only repeated in the presence of a registered technologist.
  • Operate within level of passed competencies and identify own professional learning needs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a two-year accredited radiography program (JCERT accredited preferred).
  • Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and obtain certification within the probationary hiring/employment period.
  • BLS required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in the second year of a two-year JRCERT accredited radiography program.
