Food Preparation Specialist Job Summary:

About the Role:
This position requires a strong ability to work independently, multitask, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, preparing food according to VMRC's culinary standards, and providing exceptional customer service to our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to VMRC's culinary standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, employees, and visitors
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in institutional food service preferred
- Working knowledge of HACCP and OSHA protocols (additional training can be provided)
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and perform physical tasks as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
