About This Opportunity

The Substitute Teacher will fill in for teachers when they are unavailable to report to class. This role involves supervising students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground, and in the cafeteria. The Substitute Teacher will also help manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive learning environment
  • Work with other adults and with children
  • Be available on an "on call" basis
  • Follow directions
  • Appreciate various ethnic groups
  • Fulfill all specified health and safety clearance requirements
  • Pass a CORI screening
