Hall Monitor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Support. This is a 10-month position that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The Building Support will assist staff in monitoring hallways and cafeterias, maintain consistent discipline within the school, and provide supervision and protective security for school buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, and district staff.

• Assist staff in monitoring hallways and cafeterias
• Maintain consistent discipline within the school
• Provide supervision and protective security for school buildings and grounds
• Assist in enforcing all school rules while respecting the legal rights of all individuals
• Initiate preventive measures to reduce delinquent acts and school rule violations
• Assist with emergency situations as directed
• Provide personal visibility and supervision in the hallways and throughout the building
• Report unauthorized persons on school premises to the administration
• Escort students, when needed, by administration
• Perform other duties as assigned by building Administrator

• High School Diploma
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Knowledge of first aid procedures
• Presentation of a professional, courteous, and tactful image and representation of the district in a positive manner
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, and district staff

This position is located at Durant High School and requires a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The salary for this position is $12.55 per hour.
