Job Title:

Vacuum Truck Driver

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

The Vac Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating extremely high-pressured water-blast units to clean customer systems and industrial vacuum units. The operator must drive safely and follow traffic laws/DOT regulations/driving knowledge.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use appropriate PPE, as specified by the Safety Director.
  • Follow traffic laws/DOT regulations/ driving knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge and ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster and vacuum equipment.
  • Properly prepare equipment and worksite on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that assigned tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality.
  • Effectively communicate with Supervisors/Foremen on area such as safety, quality, and integrity.
  • Pre-inspect truck.
  • Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
  • Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess license for 7 years and CDL for 2 years.
  • Must have a clean Class "B" driver's license with Tanker Endorsement.
  • 1+ years' experience in use and operation of the vacuum trucks.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbal and written.
  • Dependability.
  • Ability to carry/move up to 50 Lbs.
  • Ability to perform manual labor in an outside setting.
  • Must be physically able to enter confined spaces such as manholes and must be able to successfully complete/confined space entry training provided by the employer.
